The 3610 seems to be very similar. There are 3610 instructions online for replacing the keyboard, optical drive, and hard drive and they worked fine for my 3613wlmi. When removing the plates covering the RAM and hard drive, after removing the screws, you need to pull relatively hard for the plates to come off.
Operating system compatibility
Windows
It says it is "designed for windows" (that sticker now resides on the side of my trashcan).
Linux
Everything seems to work.
There is a driver for the Broadcom BCM4318 wifi chip in Linux 2.6.17+, but I could not get it to work. Using ndiswrapper worked.
Getting the somewhat unusual screen resolution to work required a distribution newer than Debian 3.1 (Sarge). The new Debian 4.0 (Etch) works.
I have not tried getting sleep mode to work.

- googling for Acer Aspire 3613 sends me to Acer Aspire 3610 Series. Since my laptop actually says 3610 on the case I assume the 3613 is part of the 3610 series, and the drivers and programs on that page works for the 3613.
